He probably came to New England with Rev. Richard Blinman, and settled in Gloucester, MA. About 1652 he moved to New London, CT, where he was a deacon in the church. William was born in Cheshire, England, say 1615. He was the son of Edward Hough. He married Sarah Caulkins in Gloucester, Essex County, Massachusetts, on 28 October 1645. William died on 10 August 1683 in New London, New London County, Connecticut.
