He served under Major Simon Willard during King Philip's War. John was born in Braintree, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, on 1 April 1654.1 He was the son of Daniel Shedd and Mary (--?--). He married Sarah Chamberlain in Billerica, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, on 9 January 1677/78.1 John died on 31 January 1737/38 in Billerica, Mass., at age 83.
