Patience was born on 18 August 1780.1,2 She was the daughter of Stephen Dutton and Betsey Hartwell. Patience was probably in Stephen Dutton's household in the 1791 Census taken in Chester, Windsor County, Vermont.3 Patience was probably age 16 and under 26 in Stephen Dutton's household in the 1800 Census taken in Chester.4 She married John R. Gibson say 1805.5,6 Patience Dutton resided with John R. Gibson in Rockingham, Windham County, Vermont, say 1810.7 Patience died say 1850 in Rockingham.8
