Jacob was born in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut, on 8 October 1645. He was the son of Elder John White and Mary Levitt. Soon after coming of age, Jacob moved back to the old homestead in Hartford, Conn.. He remained there the rest of his life, holding many offices of importance. He left no surviving children. He married Elizabeth Bunce say 1670. Jacob died circa 1701 in Hartford, Conn..
