Mary was born probably in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, England, in 1631.1,2 She was the daughter of William Beardsley and Mary Harvey. Mary Beardsley emigrated with William Beardsley on 2 April 1635 from Saint Albans, Hertfordshire.3,4 She married Thomas Welles in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut, in May 1651.5 She married Samuel Belden in Hatfield, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, on 25 June 1678.6 After her marriage to Samuel Belden/Belding of Hatfield, most or all of her family removed there. Mary died on 20 September 1691 in Hatfield, Mass..7
