Jasper was born on 23 July 1864.1,2 He was the son of Joseph Alanson Dean and Arvilla Maria Dutton. He was a resident in the household of Joseph Alanson Dean in the 25 July 1870 census taken in Genoa, Livingston County, Michigan, age 5. He was a resident in the household of Joseph Alanson Dean in the 1880 census taken in Genoa, Mich., age 15.3 He married Ella Wilcox in 1888.4 Jasper died on 29 September 1934 at age 70.5
