Ellen was born in Westmoreland, Cheshire County, New Hampshire, on 2 July 1874.1 She was the daughter of Henry Jackson Dutton and Olive Maria Dutton. Ellen died on 27 September 1876 in Westmoreland, N.H., at age 2.2
