Eliza Belle Gardner
Eliza was born in Newbury, Orange County, Vermont, on 22 November 1855. She was the youngest of twelve recorded siblings.1,2,3,4,5,6 She was the daughter of William N. Gardner and Eliza Nelson. Eliza Belle Gardner was often called Lizzy. She was often called Belle. She was a resident in the household of William N. Gardner in the 4 August 1860 census taken in Newbury as "Lizzey B." age 4.7 She was a resident in the household of William N. Gardner in the 7 June 1870 census taken in Newbury as "Eliza Belle" age 14.8 She married Allen Downing Felch in Newbury circa July 1871.9,10,11,12 She was a resident in the household of Allen Downing Felch in the 7 June 1880 census taken in Newbury as "Lizzie B. Felch" keeping house age 24, his wife.13 Eliza died of a heart attack on 26 April 1895 in Newbury at age 39.14 She was buried next to her daughter Mary in Boltonville, Newbury, Orange County, Vermont.15
