Anita was born in Springfield, Windsor County, Vermont, on 23 April 1958.1 She is the daughter of Clifton Carroll Martin and Kathelyn Mae Dutton. In the summer of 1967, the family removed to to Union Lake, Oakland County, Michigan when Bryant Computer Products was moved by its parent Excello Corporation. In 1970 the family moved to in Walled Lake, Oakland County, Michigan. She married Patrick Michael Goldsmith in the Orchard United Methodist Church in Farmington Hills, Oakland County, Michigan, on 23 April 1983.2 Anita was divorced from Patrick Michael Goldsmith in Tennessee on 6 November 2002.3
