Clyde was born in Vermont on 23 September 1887.1 He was the son of Emmett Emile Williams and Harriet Alida Johnson. He was a resident in the household of Emmett Emile Williams in the 2 July 1900 census taken in Chester, Windsor County, Vermont, a student age 12, his son.2 He married Sadie Fannie Bridges on 21 June 1911. Clyde died on 3 June 1974 at age 86.
