Jesse was born circa 1875. He married Susie Mondy say 1910. He was a head of household in the 6 January 1920 census taken in Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan, age 45, a coal company teamster; Susie Mondy resided in the same household, as "Susie I. Zimmerman" age 38; as did Gerald C. Zimmerman, age 18, a coal company teamster; Ernest J. Zimmerman, age 8; Carl T. Zimmerman, age 6; Howard D. Zimmerman, age 10/12; Willard A. Dean, age 19, a coal company teamster, step-son to Jesse; Shirley Mae Dean, age 11, step-daughter to Jesse; and Jonah Leverett, age 52, a contracting firm teamster, a roomer.
