Pat was born in Vermont say 1939.1 She is the daughter of Robert James Kickham and Helena McCarthy. She wrote, "My mother moved to Ct. when I was 4, however I went back to Vt. every summer until I was 16 and stayed with my grandparents in Northfield."2 As children, Pat Kickham, David Albion Lanpher, and Lynwood A. Lanpher were very friendly, even though Pat lived in Connecticut.2
