David Estabrooks

(circa 1822 - 15 July 1862)
David was born in Westville, Franklin County, New York, circa 1822. An alternate form of his name was Daniel Estabrooks. He married Mary Margaret Keeler in Malone, Franklin County, New York, on 24 March 1852.1 He was "of" Minneiska, Winona County, Minnesota. He began military service as "Daniel Estabrooks", a Private with Company C, 4th Minnesota Volunteer Infantry. The Regiment was formally organized in December, 1861. One list of Civil War soldiers indicates he was cited for distinguished service. David died on 15 July 1862 in Keokuk, Lee County, Iowa. He was still a member of the 4th Minnesota regiment at the time. He was buried in the Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk, Ia..
