Amanda was born in Agana, Guam, on 25 December 1988. Her mother wrote, "My brother Mark was married 12-24-1988 ... I remember that one because my dad and his wife Bev were visiting for Christmas that year and that is when my daughter was born. It was Christmas Day in Guam, and Christmas Eve in the states."2,1 She is the daughter of Gregory Carl Johnson and Sarah Marie Wright.
