William was born in Scotland in 1767. He was the son of William Neilson and Jean Stewart. He married Hannah Moore circa 1791. He married Hannah Nelson say 1829. William died in September 1830. He was buried in North Monroe, Monroe, Grafton County, New Hampshire.
