Sybil was born in Springfield, Windsor County, Vermont, on 29 May 1918.1,2,3,4 She is the daughter of Herbert William Dutton and Lillie Mae Felch. Sybil Muriel Dutton was often called Muriel Dutton. Even her close family members are sometimes not aware her given name is Sybil. She was a resident in the household of Herbert William Dutton in the 31 January 1920 census taken in Springfield as "Sybel M.", age 1y 8m, his daughter.5 She married Hial Parker Snell on 12 June 1936.6,7
