Nicholas was born circa 1508. He was the son of Roger Gifford Esquire. He was "of St. James near Northampton." In 1538 he was one of the gentlemen to attend upon the King's household when required. Nicholas died on 19 May 1546 in Duston, Northamptonshire, England.
