  8. [S167] One of the eight people at Derrick and Ruth's wedding was Caroline "Gram" Randall. She was a family friend; my mother remembers her coming to pick berries at the farm. She was the next-to-last literal Daughter of the American Revolution. Her father was a waterboy in the Continental Army, and married very late in life. My mother visited her on occasion and saw some of the very many cards she would receive on holidays and her birthday.
