Ada was born in Chester, Windsor County, Vermont, on 22 March 1905.1,2,3 She was the daughter of Guy Emmett Williams and Lora Bell Haskell. She was a resident in the household of Guy Emmett Williams in the 4 May 1910 census taken in Chester age 5, his daughter.1 She was a resident in the household of Emmett Emile Williams in the 17 February 1920 census taken in Springfield, Windsor County, Vermont, a student age 14, his granddaughter.2 She married Harry S. Smith on 25 December 1924. Ada was divorced from Harry S. Smith prior to 1934. She married Guy Morton Simonds on 23 October 1934. She married Raymond Oakes on 26 September 1981.
