First cousin thrice removed of Darrell Allen Martin.
Laura was born in Rockingham, Windham County, Vermont, on 24 May 1857.1,2 She was the daughter of Horatio Walker Dutton and Laura Ann Severance.

Given the nearness of Rockingham and Saxtons River to Springfield and the close connections between the Duttons and the Severances, the failure of Dutton desc. 1943 to mention any husband or children for Laura argues very strongly against their existence. Laura died on 2 December 1934 in Saxtons River, Rockingham, Windham County, Vermont, at age 77.3
