Harriet was born in Mount Holly, Rutland County, Vermont, on 8 February 1855.1,2,3 She was the daughter of Jonathan Johnson and Lucinda Gibson. Harriet was nicknamed Hattie. She married Emmett Emile Williams on 14 October 1879.4,5,6,7,8 She was a resident in the household of Emmett Emile Williams in the 11 June 1880 census taken in Mt. Holly as "Hattie Williams" keeping house age 25, his wife.7 She was a resident in the household of Emmett Emile Williams in the 2 July 1900 census taken in Chester, Windsor County, Vermont, as "Hattie A. Williams", mother of 3 children all living, age 45, his wife.9 She was a resident in the household of Emmett Emile Williams in the 17 February 1920 census taken in Springfield, Windsor County, Vermont, as "Hattie A. Williams", age 65, his wife.5 Harriet died on 18 May 1923 in Springfield at age 68. In the house on Brook Road.10 She was buried possibly in Oakland Cemetery in Springfield.11
