Bruce was born in Mount Holly, Rutland County, Vermont, on 2 December 1940.1 He is the son of Earl William Round and Elizabeth Shirley Julia Martin. He married Jeanette Marie Jarvis in Randolph, Orange County, Vermont, on 23 June 1962. He married Helen Lou Porter say 1980.
