Damon Olcott

Damon was born prior to 1848. He served in the Union Army, enlisting 1 June 1861 as a private in Co. A, 3rd Vermont Volunteers. He was discharged 21 January 1863, and reenlisted 31 July 1863 in Co. M, 11th Vermont Volunteers. His total service was 1 year 11 months 26 days1.1 He married Marion Dartt on 8 August 1887. He appeared on the Veteran's Schedule of the 1890 Census taken in Rockingham, Windham County, Vermont.1 Damon died following 1890. Damon is known to me only from the Veterans' Census; he may be a relative of Parthenia Olcott.
