Sybil was born in Weathersfield, Windsor County, Vermont, on 27 February 1842.1,2,3,4,5,6,7 She was the daughter of Nathaniel Nelson Dartt and Ruth Knowlton Perkins. She was a resident in the household of Nathaniel Nelson Dartt in the 21 August 1850 census taken in Weathersfield a student age 8.8 She was "of" Weathersfield, Windsor County, Vermont, on 16 September 1866.9 She married Perrin Smith Dutton on 16 September 1866.10,11,12,13 She was a resident in the household of Perrin Smith Dutton in the 1870 census taken in Springfield, Windsor County, Vermont, as "Sybel" age 28.10 She was a resident in the household of Perrin Smith Dutton in the 11 June 1900 census taken in Springfield as "Sybil D. Dutton" age 58, mother of 3 children (2 living), his wife.14 Sybil died on 1 March 1902 in Springfield at age 60.15 She was buried between Perrin and George, in the Summer Hill Cemetery in Springfield.
