William was born in Rockingham, Windham County, Vermont, on 29 July 1869.1,2 He was the son of Warren F. Severance and Ancy Clementine Dutton. He married Laura Emma McQuaid on 5 May 1903.3 William died on 9 May 1936 at age 66.4
