Joseph was born in Rockingham, Windham County, Vermont, on 24 June 1867.1,2 He was the son of Warren F. Severance and Ancy Clementine Dutton. He married Mabel Henry in November 1901.3 Joseph died on 31 March 1936 at age 68.4
