Anna was born in Shrewsbury, Worcester County, Massachusetts, on 9 September 1789.1,2 She was the daughter of Paul Knowlton and Lucy Forbush. Anna was probably in Paul Knowlton's household in the 1790 Census taken in Shrewsbury, Mass..3 Anna was probably age 10 and under 16 in Lucy Forbush's household in the 1800 Census taken in Shrewsbury, Mass..4 Anna was probably age 16 and under 26 in Lucy Forbush's household in the 1810 Census taken in Shrewsbury, Mass..5 She married Jonathan Newton in Shrewsbury, Mass., on 22 February 1815.6 She was "of" Westborough, Worcester County, Massachusetts, on 9 January 1840.7 She married Zaavan Perkins in Shrewsbury, Mass., on 9 January 1840.8,9 Anna was probably age 50 to under 60 in Zaavan Perkins's household in the 1840 Census taken in Weathersfield, Windsor County, Vermont.10 She was a resident in the household of Zaavan Perkins in the 1850 census taken in Shrewsbury, Mass., as "Anna Perkins" age 62.9
