Lucy was born in Hardwick, Worcester County, Massachusetts, on 20 September 1751.1,2,3 She was the daughter of Aaron Forbush Junior and Sarah Lamson. She was "of" Hardwick, Worcester County, Massachusetts, on 8 November 1769.4 She married Paul Knowlton in Hardwick, Mass., on 8 November 1769.5,6,7 Lucy was probably in Paul Knowlton's household in the 1790 Census taken in Shrewsbury, Worcester County, Massachusetts.8 After her husband's death in 1799, she joined the Shrewsbury, Massachusetts church, 1800. Lucy was a head of family, as "Lucy Knowlton", age 45 and up, in the 1800 Census taken in Shrewsbury, Mass..9 Lucy was a head of family, as "Lucy Knowlton", age 45 and over, in the 1810 Census taken in Shrewsbury, Mass..10 Lucy died on 8 May 1837 in Shrewsbury, Mass., at age 85.11
