Levi was born on 17 September 1785.1,2 He was the son of Stephen Dutton and Betsey Hartwell. Levi was probably under 16 years old in Stephen Dutton's household in the 1791 Census taken in Chester, Windsor County, Vermont.3 He married Margaret Woodburn circa 1808.4,5 He was "warned out" of Rockingham, Windham County, Vermont, on 27 August 1811.6,7 He was "warned out" of Manchester, Bennington County, Vermont, on 23 November 1815.8 He was "warned out" of Windham, Windham County, Vermont, on 3 September 1816.9 At some point he removed to Jamaica, Windham County, Vermont.10 Levi died on a ship at sea in 1846.11
