"He was the ancestor of the Hancock Duttons."1 David was born in Billerica, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, on 22 May 1731.1,2,3 He was the son of Thomas Dutton III and Hannah Burge. He married Esther Heald in Westford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, on 19 November 1761.1 David died on 10 March 1818 in Westford, Mass., at age 86.4
