Stella was born in Springfield, Windsor County, Vermont, on 22 December 1894.1,2 She was the daughter of George Morse and Edith Sybil Dutton. She married Leon Emile Duval M.D. on 2 July 1917.3,4 Stella was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Stella and Leon adopted their motherless neice, Anna Theresa Hall. They also adopted Everett Joseph, who was born 8 February 1925 in New Haven, CT5. Neither adoption date is known. Whether Anna Theresa's surname changed is unknown; "Everett Joseph Duval" is his adopted name. "Stella R. Morris", wife of "DUVAL, Leon E., M.D.", according to her gravestone. Stella died in 1985.6 She was buried in 1985 in the Green Hill Cemetery in Wallingford, Rutland County, Vermont.7
