Martha was born in Cavendish, Windsor County, Vermont, on 26 March 1848.1 She was the daughter of Joseph A. Dean and Arvilla Maria Dutton. She married Richard Gott in Genoa, Livingston County, Michigan, on 1 January 1872.2 Martha died on 20 October 1918 in Handy Township, Livingston County, Michigan, at age 70.3 She was buried in the Greenwood Cemetery in Fowlerville, Livingston County, Michigan.
