Viola was born in Westmoreland, Cheshire County, New Hampshire, on 18 August 1880.1 She was the daughter of Henry Jackson Dutton and Olive Maria Dutton. Viola was nicknamed Leafy. She married Llewellyn William Britton on 27 April 1901.2 Viola died following 1936.
