Daniel Dartt

     Daniel was born in Gilsum, Cheshire County, New Hampshire, on 23 August 1774.1 He was the son of Joshua Darte and Deborah Spencer. Daniel Dartt resided in Weathersfield, Windsor County, Vermont, in 1798.2 He married Esther Stimpson on 28 March 1799.1 He was appointed a Hayward at the 1800 Weathersfield Town Meeting.3 Daniel Dartt resided in Weathersfield, in 1800.2 He was "of" Weathersfield, Windsor County, Vermont, on 11 February 1802.4,5 He married Parthenia Olcott in Rockingham, Windham County, Vermont, on 11 February 1802.6,7,8,9 Daniel Dartt resided in Weathersfield, in 1810.2 Daniel Dartt resided in Weathersfield, in 1813. He probably lived in the house, Butterfield's "6-25", previously occupied by "Captain Justus Dart", on the Goulden Ridge Road going west from the District 5 line. It is possible, however, that the actual owner in 1813 was Sewell Clement.2,10 Daniel died on 26 January 1830 in Weathersfield, at age 55.1 He was buried in the northeast part of the Plain Cemetery in Weathersfield.1

  10. Butterfield reports Daniel as living at some time in house "6-25". Although Daniel is listed in 1813 with property in Division III Lot 34, Butterfield does not show him on that year's tax roll.
