Lucinda Gibson

3rd great-grandmother of Darrell Allen Martin.

     Lucinda was born in Shrewsbury, Rutland County, Vermont, in 1823.1,2,3,4,5 She was the daughter of Abraham Gibson and Catherine Palmer. She married Jonathan Johnson in Mount Holly, Rutland County, Vermont, on 19 March 1846.6,7,8 She was a resident in the household of Jonathan Johnson in the 1850 census taken in Shrewsbury, as "Lucinda Johnson" age 27.6 Lucinda Gibson and Jonathan Johnson reportedly had 10 children.9 Lucinda died on 12 November 1896 in Chester, Windsor County, Vermont.10,11 She was buried beside her son Amos in the Sinisbury Cemetery, on the Williams farm in Chester.12
