Holland was born in Springfield, Windsor County, Vermont, on 15 August 1933.1,2 He was the son of Derrick Allen Dutton and Ruth Alice Williams. He married Katrine Marie Cole on 10 August 1957.3 Holland died about 8:30 a.m., of cancer, on 2 April 1998 in Springfield, at age 64. He died at home in the room at the top of the stairs, in the old house on the family farm in the Dutton District. This is the same room where George Perrin Dutton died in 1898.4 He was cremated in Springfield, on 3 April 1998.
