Guy E. Baker 
(20 November 1874 - 17 November 1969)
Guy was born on 20 November 1874.
He married Alice Ellen Williams on 14 October 1908.
He and his wife Alice adopted Jessie Baker, who was born 26 December 1902 and died in October 1931.
In October 1920, he was a member of Russell W. Porter's first class of amateur telescope makers in Springfield, Windsor County, Vermont.
Guy died on 17 November 1969 at age 94. I have heard this story told by the family. "Uncle Guy" worked part time up until 3 days before his 95th birthday. He had what you might call a flexible schedule, at a small company in western New Hampshire. Anyway, on 18 November 1969, "Aunt Alice" called Guy's employer and told him that Guy wouldn't be coming in to work that day. He said of course, that was fine, Guy could just come in the next day if he wanted to. She said she didn't think Guy would be in then, either. His boss asked if there was a problem, and Aunt Alice said no, but Guy did die last night. (If it isn't true, it should be. It certainly fits the two of them.).
