Herman was born in Shrewsbury, Rutland County, Vermont, on 21 December 1856.3,4 He married Flora Idella Baker say 1879.5,6 Herman died on 30 September 1915 in Rutland, Rutland County, Vermont, at age 58.7,8 He was buried in the East Clarendon Cemetery in East Clarendon, Clarendon, Rutland County, Vermont.1
