Vesta was born in Shrewsbury, Rutland County, Vermont, on 29 September 1880.1 She was the daughter of Herman Valette Hewitt and Flora Idella Baker.2 She married Bertrand L. Jenks say 1903.2 Vesta died on 24 May 1946 in Rutland, Rutland County, Vermont, at age 65.3
