Calvin was born in Rutland Hospital in Rutland, Rutland County, Vermont, on 13 August 1932.1 He was the son of Clifton Oliver Martin and Annis Lizzie LaQue. Calvin died circa 20 August 1932 in Rutland. He was buried circa 22 August 1932 in the Maple Grove Cemetery in East Wallingford, Wallingford, Rutland County, Vermont. There is no stone.2

1. [S136] The Martin-LaPlante oral tradition as I have it does not include Calvin.
2. [S156] Clifton C. Martin informed me in July 2000 that he had spoken with Allen Seward, a lifelong friend and a member of the "cemetery committee" in East Wallingford, a month earlier. As a result of that conversation, it was discovered that Clifton O. Martin had purchased a half-lot burial plot in August 1932 (but that he hadn't paid for it until 1944).
