     Ernest was born in Springfield, Windsor County, Vermont, on 23 January 1904.1,2,3,4,5,6 He was the son of Herbert William Dutton and Lillie Mae Felch. Ernest Perrin Dutton appears in a photograph taken circa 1906 in Newbury, Orange County, Vermont. He was a resident in the household of Herbert William Dutton in the 9 June 1910 census taken in Springfield, a student age 5, his son.7 He was a resident in the household of Herbert William Dutton in the 31 January 1920 census taken in Springfield, a student age 16, his son.8 He married Zella Marie (or May) Snide in Springfield, on 6 June 1925.9 Ernest was divorced from Zella Marie (or May) Snide on 1 July 1940.10,11 He married Flora Isabel Jenks in Springfield, on 11 August 1940.12,13,14,15 Ernest died on 22 August 1946 at age 42. He died six months after his second wife Isabel, at only age 42.17,18,19,16
