In 1920, at age 16, Carl was working as a dairy farm laborer while living with his parents1. Carl was born in Mount Holly, Rutland County, Vermont, on 18 September 1903.2,3,4 He was the son of William Henry Martin and Sarah Marie LaPlante. He was a resident in the household of Oliver Martin in the 29 April 1910 census taken in Mt. Holly, a student age 6, Oliver's grandson.5 He was a resident in the household of William Henry Martin in the 17 January 1920 census taken in Mt. Holly, a dairy farm laborer age 16, his son.1 Carl relocated to Seattle, King County, Washington say 1922.6 He married Orma Krupp in Seattle, King County, Washington, say 1925.7 Carl died of pneumonia on 23 February 1939 in Seattle, Wash., at age 35.4
